The Christmas illuminations of Saint-Tropez

Better known for its beaches, yachts and jet set parties, Saint-Tropez nevertheless carefully cultivates its traditional side. As it is throughout Provence, Christmas is celebrated in Saint-Tropez with fervour. The Bastide de Saint-Tropez team particularly appreciates the festive illuminations of the small town and the simply magical atmosphere they create.
A date to remember
The Christmas festivities will be launched this year on December 8th. From that evening onwards, the streets will be adorned with lights and the Christmas spirit will pervade the town. The big switching on of the lights is set for 18:00 on the Quai Suffren. This is also where a magnificent sound and light projection on the theme of stars and Christmas will bring a new enchantment to the facades of the Old Port. Many activities are scheduled to celebrate the occasion, including the Etoiles musical parade, a figure skating show, and a sacred music festival. Enjoy some winter activity fun at the pop-up ice rink on the Place du XVème Corps until January 8th, accompanied by the Christmas village on the Place des Lices right next door. And don’t miss the exciting arrival of Father Christmas by boat at the Port of Saint-Tropez on December 24th at 18:30!
A month of celebration
In addition to the illuminations and light projections which bring an extra sparkle to our renowned seaside town every evening, several parades are planned on various themes. There’s plenty to delight young and old alike. You can also head to the Village de Noël at the port for a festive season shopping spree. Finally, don't miss visiting the House of Father Christmas exhibition, attending the Pastorale du Rampeu Christmas show in the purest Provençal tradition, strolling through the Little Farm and the Enchanted Square and enjoying the marvellous Concert de Noël. The full programme of festive events harmoniously combines the sacred, traditional and contemporary facets of Christmas.
